Jessica Ann Collins has been cast opposite Luke Evans and Michiel Huisman in the upcoming Apple action-thriller series “Echo 3,” reuniting Collins with Academy Award-winning producer and writer Mark Boal. Collins will play Amber Chesbourough, a brilliant young scientist who is described as the emotional center of a small American family.
Collins is repped by Gersh and her manager, John Carrabino. She is known best for her roles in "Zero Dark Thirty," AMC's "Rubicon" and Netflix's upcoming American-Aussie drama "Clickbait" starring Zoe Kazan.” />
When she goes missing along the Colombia-Venezuela border, her brother, Bambi (Evans), and her husband (Huisman) — two men with deep military experience and complicated pasts — struggle to find her in a drama set against the explosive backdrop of a secret war. The 10-parter is set in South America and follows Chesborough.
Apple and Keshet Studios, the US production branch of Keshet International, will produce. Peter Traugott of Keshet Studios will executive produce as well along with Givon, Stan Wlodkowski, Eitan Mansuri, Jonathan Doweck, Avi Nir of Keshet Media Group, Alon Shtruzman of Keshet International, and Karni Ziv of Keshet Broadcasting. Boal will serve as co-showrunner alongside Jason Horwitch, with both executive producing. Pablo Trapero ("Carancho") will direct. The Apple show will be shot with both English and Spanish dialogue.
“Echo 3" is based on the Israeli series “When Heroes Fly” created by Omri Givon and based on the novel of the same name by Amir Gutfreund. It is now the second series order for an adaptation of a Keshet show at Apple. It was announced back in March that Uma Thurman will star in the Apple series “Suspicion,” based on the Keshet series “False Flag.”
