Vybz Kartel will be meeting his second daughter for the first time. At the time Kartel denied the allegations and his common-law wife Shorty refuted the claims. We’re also told that Kartel is planning to be more involved in his daughter’s life and fully take care of her just like his other four kids.

Other sources told us that his illness is serious enough for doctors to admit him under close observation. Ninja Man was also remanded in custody pending the outcome of the case. The dancehall icon, his son Jamiel Ballentine, and another man, Dennis Clayton, are on trial for the murder of Ricardo Johnson, aka Trooper, who was shot and killed in Kingston 11 in March 2009. Ninja Man is currently fighting for his life in the courts after a judge ordered him to stand trial for a near decade-old murder charge. Ninja Man is currently hospitalized after falling sick in jail. He faces life imprisonment if convicted of the murder. He was due in court today for his ongoing murder trial in the Home Circuit Court. The highly publicised trial has seen 17 trial delays and 23 mentions over the past 8 years until a judge finally had enough and ordered the trial to get underway.

The dancehall icon was remanded in custody yesterday after his attorney file court documents for a stay of proceedings. The Gorgon’s case has since seen 17 dates being pushed back and a total of 23 court hearings. An official trial date is not yet set, but the deejay is still behind bars up to the time of this publication. Cops say Ninja Man shot and killed Johnson following a dispute with his son on Mall Road, St Andrew. Last year, Ninja Man posted a video on social media ranting about the drawn out case while blasting the Jamaican justice system. Back in 2012, Ninja and his son were remanded in custody over said trial but the case was again postponed. High Court judge, Justice Martin Gayle, denied the application and ordered the artist to be jailed and the trial to commence. Ninja Man, whose real name is Desmond Ballentine, and his son Janiel Ballentine, were arrested in 2009 and charged with murder for the killing 20-year-old Ricardo ‘Ricky Trooper’ Johnson.
